Amongst the sea of entries, Spanish producer JOVIRA, S.A. emerged victorious, seizing the prestigious Champion Product and Best in Class 1 award for their outstanding Jamon De Bellota 100% Iberico. The esteemed panel of judges unanimously recognized the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of this traditional Spanish product, elevating it to the pinnacle of the charcuterie world.
Adding to the glory of the competition, Meat Cellar from Toowoomba, Queensland, garnered its share of accolades, securing a gold medal in the Class 6 - Cured Bacon category. The judges were effusive in their praise for Meat Cellar's winning bacon, emphasising its visual appeal and the harmonious meat-to-fat ratio. Describing it as "visually stunning with a satisfying meat to fat ratio," they highlighted its robust flavour, enriched by the essence of smoke, leaving a lingering and delectable aftertaste.
